Audio Production/Sound
Engineering is quite different from D J'ing. While D J'ing
lends itself to spontaneity as one reads the crowd, Audio Production/Sound
Engineering requires intense planning with our clients prior
to the actual event.
We need to determine
exactly what type of equipment the event will require. For example,
are we going to need wireless, headset, podium or lavalier microphones?
Will a monitor system for the performer (in addition to the audience
sound system) be needed? Feedback (the annoying squealing sound through
the speakers) will need to be eliminated with proper equalization. Also,
since events like this rarely allow you to just play a song from beginning
to end, the music must be edited, looped and/or re-recorded. Also, time-ques
for when to play each piece of music must be considered. Vocalists may
need effects such a reverb for their vocals and bands need to do a sound
check to set their levels through the P A and to get their mix right.
Rave Entertainment
always takes the time to address these types of details with our clients
before an event in order to assure that everything flows smoothly once
the curtain goes up.
